Network Function Virtualization (NFV) in Mobile Networks
Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is a key technology in modern mobile networks. This technology helps improve network performance, flexibility, and efficiency.
In traditional mobile networks, network nodes are implemented using dedicated hardware appliances. This can be expensive to maintain, and challenging to scale.
Network Function Virtualization (NFV) addresses these issues by decoupling network nodes from proprietary hardware, and instead running them as software components on virtualized infrastructure.
So that network nodes that were previously implemented in dedicated hardware, are now virtualized. And they run as software instances, known as Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs).
This can improve network performance, enhance flexibility, and reduce overall costs.
