PDP context in 2G/3G Network

PDP context stands for "Packet Data Protocol" context. It is the logical connection between the mobile device and the 2G/3G mobile network, to enable packet-switched data services for the mobile device.

It allows the mobile device to access the external data network, such as the internet or the corporate company network.
