LoRa for IoT in Mobile Networks

LoRa (Long Range) is a wireless communication technology that is suitable for IoT (Internet of Things) applications.

This technology is not a mobile network technology, while it can integrate with mobile networks using "LoRaWAN gateways".

LoRaWAN gateways can connect to mobile network, to provide connectivity for the LoRa IoT devices.

LoRa can provide a range of up to 15 km in rural areas and up to 5 km in urban areas. While it supports low data rates ranging from 0.3 kbps to 50 kbps.

This technology operates in the unlicensed bands, which means it does not require a licensed spectrum, making it a more cost-effective solution for some IoT deployments.
