Precondition in IMS Network
Precondition is a bearer resources reservation mechanism that enhance the call completion success rate in the IMS network.
This mechanism ensures the completion of the bearer resource reservation in the originating side and the terminating side before the terminating user equipment (UE) starts ringing.
This ensures that the terminating UE will not answer the call before the completion of the bearer resource reservation in the originating side and the terminating side. In turn, this will enhance the call completion success rate.
