Gn Interface in 2G/3G Telecom Network
Gn Interface is the interface between the SGSN and the GGSN that exist in the same Network (PLMN).
It is working in the Control Plane and the User plane.
It uses GTP-C protocol in the control plane, and uses GTP-U protocol in the user plane.

LTE (4G) Network Architecture
LTE (4G) Network Nodes LTE refers to 'Long Term Evolution', and the architecture of the LTE (4G) network is as following, eNodeB The eNodeB is the 4G site that the UE connects to. It provides the radio interface to the UE. MME MME refers to 'Mobility Management Entity'. The MME is responsible for authenticating the…

SGSN, GGSN – 2G/3G Network Architecture and Interfaces
2G/3G Network Nodes The following graph shows the 2G/3G Network Architecture. It includes the SGSN, GGSN, HLR, CG, PDN, RNC, and BSC. SGSN GGSN, HLR, CG, PDN, RNC, BSC, 2G/3G Network Interfaces Now we know the nodes that exist in the 2G/3G network. Let's learn the interface names that exist between those nodes. Every interface…
