S11 interface in 4G-LTE Telecom Network
S11 interface is one of the control plane interfaces in the 4G Core Network (EPC). It is the interface between the MME and the SGW.
It uses GTP-C protocol in the communication between the MME and the SGW.
Therefore, a GTP tunnel is established between the MME and the SGW in order to exchange signalling messages between each other.
