PGW is 4G-LTE Telecom Network
PGW stands for "Packet Data Network Gateway". It is a key component of the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) architecture in 4G LTE networks.
It serves as the gateway between the 4G LTE mobile network and external packet data networks, as ir receives and forwards data packets between the 4G LTE mobile network and the external packet data networks.
In addition, it assigns and manages IP addresses for UEs connected to the 4G LTE network.
Also the PGW applies the appropriate QoS and charging parameters to users's data sessions, based on the subscriber's profile and service requirements.
